Researcher Brian Mustanski, Ph.D, is reading Maurianne Adams et. al’s Reading for Diversity and Social Justice:

“The book has sections on racism, sexism, heterosexism, and transgender oppression. Each section has chapters that cover historical background and overviews of relevant issues, followed by personal narratives, and then examples of efforts made to challenge disadvantage in order to create social change. I am reading these chapters in preparation for the upcoming semester.  Each semester my Research Program chooses a theme for weekly readings and discussion among our multidisciplinary team of staff and trainees.  This semester we are focusing on the health and development of transgender people. The IMPACT program, which I direct, conducts translational research on LGBT Health and Development.  More information about the IMPACT Program and our training activities can be found at”
