<itunes:summary>Like men, women may become sexually aroused when they see someone they are attracted to or desire sexually, whether that person is a woman or a man. After all, not all men are attracted to women and not all women are attracted to men.
Key Differences
There are some key differences in regard to menrsquo;s and womenrsquo;s sexual arousal response, however. One of the biggest differences in many peoplersquo;s minds is that menrsquo;s erections are visible whereas womenrsquo;s arousal is more hidden.

If a man becomes so mentally or physically aroused that his penis becomes partially or fully erect, then it may be noticeable to those around him.

When women feel aroused ndash; whether by a man or another woman ndash; their bodies react in different ways. Like men, blood flow increases to their genitals when women feel sexually aroused.

However, unlike men, the increased blood flow doesnrsquo;t cause an erection. Rather, sexual excitement and increased blood flow to the genitals in women helps to promote an increase in a womanrsquo;s natural vaginal lubrication. If yoursquo;ve ever heard of a woman becoming ldquo;wetrdquo;, the wetness being referenced is a womanrsquo;s vaginal lubrication.
Inner Signs
Unlike menrsquo;s erections, though, vaginal lubrication is typically not visible. Although lubrication increases during arousal, there is typically not so much of it that it soaks through a womanrsquo;s clothes. She may notice feelings of wetness in her underwear but no one else would notice.

Women may also feel warm or tingly in their genital area when they feel aroused. Some women, like men, describe feeling physical sensations in their stomach, such as nervousness or excitement.

Both women and men may also find it difficult to think about anything else except the person they long for and they may also notice changes in their breathing, heart rate or even in how warm their body feels.

<itunes:summary>Most women and men have masturbated at some point in their lives. And although some myths suggest that only single or lonely people masturbate, research has consistently found that masturbation is common not only among people who are single or dating, but also among people who are in committed relationships or marriages.

This is particularly true for men who tend to have higher rates of masturbation than many women. People masturbate for various reasons including pleasure, enjoyment, stress reduction or to help oneself fall asleep.
A Common Occurrence
So the short answer is that yes, it is common for people to masturbate even when they are living with a partner and sexually active with that partner. It is perhaps even more common for partnered people to masturbate when they don't always have access to their partner.

You two may be incredibly in love and attracted to each other, but given that you have different work schedules, he may find that he's home alone sometimes, feels aroused, and feels like masturbating.
And A Common Reaction
And while it's important to understand that your boyfriend's masturbation behavior is common, it's also important to understand that your reaction is common, too.

You are certainly not the only woman (or man, for that matter) who has felt uncomfortable about their partner's masturbation. Some people worry that if their partner masturbates, that it could indicate that their partner doesn't love them or lust after them as much as they hoped.

Others worry that it signals a decline in their relationship. Another concern sometimes relates to the circumstances around their partner's masturbation, like what they are thinking about when they masturbate or whether they are watching porn.

If you are feeling hurt, or blaming yourself, or if you're just plain curious about your partner's masturbation, it's okay to bring it up and talk about it in gentle, caring, respectful ways. Keep in mind, too, though that men and women have a right to have a private experience of sexuality, even when they are in relationships, and it can be a delicate area to discuss.

<itunes:summary>If you have never had vaginal penetration before, it is more likely that the bleeding you are experiencing is the gradual tearing of your hymen, which is a thin tissue filled with blood vessels that covers much of women's vaginal entrances.

Some women gradually wear their hymen away through tampon use or finger stimulation alone (or with a partner) during adolescence.

Also some women naturally have thinner or thicker hymens than other women, so bleeding can vary when one first penetrates their vagina. Some women report quite a lot of bleeding and for other women the bleeding is barely noticeable.
Different Definitions of Virginity
Sometimes women worry that if they penetrate their vagina - and thus tear their hymen - then they are no longer a virgin, but that is not true.

People have different definitions of virginity, but most commonly it is considered that a virgin is someone who has not "had sex" yet (and people have different definitions of what "sex" means too - such as oral sex, vaginal sex, anal sex, etc, so even that varies a bit).

Given your age, it is a good idea to check in with a healthcare provider to get a gynecological exam which is an important step in taking care of your sexual and reproductive health - even if you are not having sex with a partner, you still have important reproductive organs that should be checked out. That may give you some peace of mind about your genital and reproductive health as well.
Learn More
To learn more about sexual play with a vibrator, you might want to read The Good Vibrations Guide to Sex. Also keep in mind that you don't have to use your vibrator to penetrate your vagina unless you want to or find that it feels good.

Quite a lot of women hold their vibrator up to their clitoris (without using it to penetrate their vagina) so that is another option too.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Oh, the pressure that we give men related to their penis size is enough to break my heart. Seriously, though!

Men: if you havenrsquo;t heard it before, let me tell you now ndash; in all likelihood, your penis is enough to please another person. Will everyone in the world like it? Probably not. But not everyone in the world will like anything.
Bigger Not Always Better
As many women will tell you, bigger is not always better. There is only so much room inside a womanrsquo;s vagina, anus or mouth, and if a penis is longer or wider than is comfortable for a woman, then that can be really challenging for couples.

Your penis ndash; at six inches long ndash; is on the long end of average. Given that many women enjoy sexual stimulation in the first few inches of their vagina, and often on the front wall, you have more than enough length to reach these parts of the vagina.

Plus, sex is more than the size of a manrsquo;s penis or a womanrsquo;s vagina. Communication, relationship satisfaction, technique, an openness to exploration, and how two people feel about each other all have so much more to do with sexual satisfaction.

If you are concerned about pleasing your girlfriend, consider talking to her about how crazy you are about her and how much you want to please her. Try to open up conversation in ways that encourage her to share with you what feels good to her, or what shersquo;d like to try.

Together you can explore ways of touching, kissing, and having sex that feel good to both of you and that focus on what you both have ndash; rather than what you are worried about not having.
