Dr. Heather Bradshaw recommends "The Guide to Getting It On" by Paul Johannides.

Dr. Bradshaw chose two of her favorites, and for this post, it’s  The Guide to Getting It On by Paul Johannides.

“This is a fun, honest “how to” book about the protocols of sex.  As a basic scientist I really appreciated the pragmatic approach to the many facets of the physicality and physics of sexuality.  I gave this book as a raffle prize at the end of a senior and graduate level course on the Neuroscience of Reproduction.”

Dr. Bradshaw is Assistant Research Scientist at The Kinsey Institute, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences at Indiana University.

Jennifer Bass (M.P.H.)

is Director of Communications at The Kinsey Institute and founder of Kinsey Institute Sexuality Information Service for Students, now Kinsey Confidential.

Great book – I love it and recommend it highly. But every copy I sell comes with a written disclaimer. The chapter on trans issues is inexplicably awful, he clearly isnt at all familiar with the trans communitiy(s) But, no one's perfect!
